The new DVD is almost ready and it is so packed full of stuff it is now a 2 disc set! The official details will be released in the coming weeks, but it contains tons of songs and live performances. Also to be soon announced is another run to the Eastern seaboard to sink the Atlantic in October. Many announcements coming with some new exciting lineup adjustments, new cd details and more product. CAGE has debuted a new song live for the pat 6 shows and someone put it up on youtube and it found its’ way to BLABBERMOUTH. The cat is out of the bag and the first official track from the next cd is titled WAR OF THE UNDEAD and can be seen by clicking here - WAR OF THE UNDEAD Check out this fan footage in Minniapolis where the Rampage began. MIDWEST IN RUINS, CAGE BLAMED

That is right metal heads! What a run it was. So much devastation in so little time. The whole party started off with the Minniapolis show brought to you by Nathan the mighty Swordlord himself. Thanks to the killer opening bands who helped make it super raging for a Wednsday night. Sean Norm and Steve got a private screening of the A team after the show in the wee hours (go see it killer movie!). Brent was a trooper hanging out and rocking as usual. Out to Janesville next where Bob at the Back Bar was supercool and his killer stage and lights made the show very enjoyable to perform on. We nearly drove off the road when we saw the huge digital billboard with CAGE on it. The LORDS OF THE TRIDENT are about as entertaining a comedy metal band that you will find super fun. Next we hit up Chicago at the Badda Brew where long time Cage 6th member Gerry Buckzo brought his guns to bear with his IRON FINGER band. Who needs a singer when you can shred like that and pack in super sick riffs. They owned the night as the place was packed. On to the WARRIORS OF METAL FEST where the outdoor event was packed with ripping bands. It was great to see WIDOW, ASKA, ICARUS WITCH, and our buddy JOE STUMP rip it up! This could become the premier metal event of the USA if it continues to grow. Everyone should really consider attending next year for real! We went on at 3 AM with a blood red moon and lightning flashing around, and fireflies dancing in the air. It was quite a scene and the hardcores stayed up for the whole set as we mashed it up. People there freaked out on us it was awesome! Thanks to daitus for putting on the event and being a die hard metal fan. We wrapped it up in Cleveland at the AGORA which was killer and despite a monsoon the place had a good crowd as we captivated the audience. No one left as we wrapped it up with conviction! No sooner had we returned then the phone begunb ringing and more CAGE shows will soon be posted as many events are developing.

NORM’s BIRTHDAY PARTY ROCKED!

What a night Friday June 4th! Cage celebrated Norm’s birthday by unleashing the fury at the SECOND WIND club which is fast becoming San Diego’s premier music venue. The place was packed as the RAT CITY RIOT took the stage first. Their punk attack was kiler as the eclectic line up took shape. The crowd had yet to make it up front until CAGE set up when Sean said ” This is the metal part of the night I need everyboduy up front!” The crowd filled in and the metal onslaught began. They unleashed live for the first time WAR OF THE UNDEAD which is sure to be an all time CAGE classic! The crowd seemed to agree as the set went on. The show was raging as Sean gave Norm a new leather jacket from the band and some Batman underwear that Norm loved. After the CAGE set was over, PSYCHOTIC WALTZ took the stage as some metal history was about to begin. Sean sang EYE OF THE STORM with the reunited band to the crowds screaming! CAGE MIDWEST RAMPAGE TOUR

CAGE will embark on a 5 show run that will take their new, well tested line up back to the Mid West where they have many friends and fans to share their metal with. CAGE will be playing extended sets of up to an hour and a half including a brand new track WAR OF THE UNDEAD! This vicious thrash laden screamer is not to be missed. The following dates are confirmed and will include many other killer bands in support.

6/24/2010 – The Back Bar – Janesville, Wisconsin with SACRED DAWN

6/25/2010 - Bada Brew- Crest Hill, Illinois with SLAUGHTER XSTROYES and SACRED DAWN

6/26/2010 – Warriors of Metal III Festival –Saturday night headliner Chillicothe, Ohio 2 day event with OMEN and ASKA

6/27/2010- AGORA THEATRE Cleveland, Ohio

Cage has been hard at work on their upcoming DVD/Blu-ray release which will have cover artwork done by the amazing Marc Sasso of DIO and Halford fame. This DVD will be packed with 2 full length concerts and many one off performances as well. More news on the DVD will be released soon. Their next cd has also been under the blow torch as 6 songs have already been recorded but much more work is ahead for their as yet untitled 6th release. The release date for their follow up to SCIENCE OF ANNIHILATION has not yet been announced.

Right after Metal Mayday in Atlanta

CAGE would like to thank all the raging fans and cool people we met on our run down South! From the killer bands we played with, to the promoters that put in the super hard work, to the killer fan reaction who witnessed the new lineup in all its’ fury a killer time was had. Some photos have been uploaded in the different folders on the media page so check them out! Now we have returned to working on the new record writing and recording as we push forward with the next release. CAGE will continue to play a variety of dates around the US this Summer until we embark on the European tour in September in support of our first DVD release! We soon will be releasing information on the Europe dates as they become available. Also we will announce the support acts for the tour as well! Thanks again to all the great metal heads down South we shall return and special thanks for Mark Gromen for the killer photo!

LIZZY BORDEN show pictures

The show Saturday Feb 6th was off the chain. It was great playing with and meeting the one and only Lizzy Borden. A rainy night did not prevent a massive metal meltdown from taking place as CAGE smashed out a furious set that included all the classics and a heavy dose of SCIENCE OF ANNIHILATION. Go to the media section under RECENT PICTURES and check out fresh shots from the show from the multi talented BITTERFROST himself. Mandy Lion and many other metal musicians littered the crowd and the vibe was pure steel! Now it is back to the studio to work on the DVD and new cd as we are already tracking new songs! More website upgrades are coming in the days ahead.

CAGE will be releasing their first vinyl LP ever on beautiful double gatefold vinyl. This double album release of their latest smasher SCIENCE OF ANNIHILATION will take place on Feb. 26th 2010. This will be available on the store page for sale and will be numbered and autographed. There are only 500 being made so be sure to get one as they will definitely sell out. CAGE would like to thanks PURE STEEL RECORDS for being the first to jump on it and CAGE is already signed to release HELL DESTROYER and DARKER THAN BLACK in vinyl form in late 2010.

The first ever CAGE DVD is coming soon! Audio has been edited and the video production is finally under way. This DVD like all CAGE products will be crammed full of exclusive material; full concerts and tons of backstage extras will be included. There is a chance of us even releasing a limited run of BLUE RAY copies to all of the true audio / video maniacs out there. Stay tuned as this will be another release CAGE will be very proud of!

EMPIRES OF EDEN

Sean has just laid vocal tracks for a song on the upcoming new 2nd EMPIRE OF EDEN album. Guitar shredder Stu formery of Australin power metal band DUNGEON has master minded this project that includes many big name metal singers on the cd. The track is called TOTAL DEVASTATION and it is killer! It was very cool collaborating by SKYPE with Stu, and getting the whole song together. Wait until you hear this beast!
